Casa Santa Teresa was conceived in atmosphere of total freedom- where the forest and ocean are the main protagonists. Seeking to integrate the environment with existing living species allowed us to create a project where the concepts of re-use and re-interpretation mark the course of the design. The biggest challenge was restoration over demolition. One of the most important decisions was to incorporate the terraces as a means of transition between interior and exterior; This followed by the choice to use natural materials such as wood.
